Mrs. Snausy loves to make homemade pizza even more than I do…..here’s her latest creation! This has homemade dough, with chicken, onion and mushrooms.
The crust came out nice and crispy…quite tasty!!
Thanks again, Peter Reinhart…your dough recipe is amazing! Just some simple organic King Arthur unbleached all purpose, home-concocted sauces, mozzarella mushroom and a wee bit of onion. Yay Pizza!
These tasted mighty fine…there’s nothing like homemade pizza pie to sooth the soul! A special thanks to my official taste tester for all the compliments.
Our good friends Vince and Trina brought us a giant boxful of beautiful pickle cucumbers last week, so Mrs. Snausy and I got out the canning gear and got started on this season’s “canning extravaganza” Our Bread & Butter pickles got rave reviews last year, and everyone who got some were quite excited when they heard the first new batch of the season was imminent. Here are some pics of the finished goods, along with a couple of “in process” shots…stay tuned for more canning adventures as the stunning garden harvest continues!
I procured some new Tattler reusable lids to try this season – they’re BPA-free and re-usable – they work really well!
These are some homemade buns that Jenny whipped up – they remind me of the bakery buns we used to get at the bakery in Pentwater when I was growing up. Yummy! Here’s a link to the recipe we used – thanks for sharing, Tracy!
A good friend of mine caught this salmon in Alaska, and I just had to prepare it with the greatest respect – simply, allowing the flavor of the salmon to dominate. Grilled to perfection on our new Charbroil Infrared Patio Bistro, this salmon was spiced with only salt and pepper. The red/green bell pepper/onion garnish was sauteed in butter only – the flavor of the salmon was stunning and the garnish only added to the tastiness of this awesome catch! Thanks again to my angling buddy – and to God for providing us with such an incredible meal!
