Blue’s French Onion Soup!

My good friend Sarah (who’s nickname is Blue) sent me these tasty photos of her latest culinary masterpiece – homemade French Onion Soup!  Sarah says ”

First time I've made it, and it went over very well!"

It looks absolutely wonderful…hopefully she’ll give us the ingredients or some recipe tips below in the comments section…Enjoy!

    What did you use for the crouton, Sarah?

    Its so simple! Sautée about 3lbs of onions (I used white and a half a red one) until they are soft. Drain some of the liquid and continue cooking until they are nice and brown. I also added mushrooms to this, just slice them up and add once onions are soft. Once they are brown add about half a bottle of red win, reduce down … Add three tablespoon (roughly) of flour and add to onions. Cook out flour and add a container if beef broth (32oz). And cook for a while until you want to eat. I put Italian bread croutons on top (broil bread until toasted) and added grueyer
