We’ve been coming to First Wok on Alpine for many years – the food is always consistently awesome, the service excellent, and the ambiance is very modern and airy. The restaurant is effectively split up into three sections, with choices of booths or tables.
The trick here, if you’re cost conscious, is to hit First Wok at lunch time. The menu is extensive, albeit not as extensive as the dinner menu, but most of the favorite dishes are served at lunch time at seriously reduced prices. The lunch entree is served with hot tea, your choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, a choice of crab cheese or chicken wing, plus a generous helping of your choice of white or fried rice. Also included in the price of lunch is an eggroll. They bring out sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard – all complimentary.
Today’s entrees included General Chicken, ordered extra spicy, ($7.15) and Mandarin Combination ($7.95) As you can see by the pictures, First Wok knows how to serve up some mighty tasty Chinese food (although it is definitely “American-ized”). The ingredients are always fresh, well prepared, and flavors always work together to make the food memorable!
If you like really good Chinese food, check out First Wok. If you like getting a great deal on an excellent meal, check them out at lunchtime – the service is remarkable and you’ll definitely be bringing home some Chinese Lunch leftovers!
